Lori's Story
Life
I do have 2 wonderful children.
Ashlee is 19 and smart and beautiful. She is so much more popular than I was in high school. She starts college in a couple of weeks. Am I that old?
Ian is 13. He is sweet and generous and smart. He has finally learned to enjoy reading.
Now that I am done with my MSN, I need a new life. Any suggestions?
High School
Mrs Muronaka inspired me to try the hardest. I am sure she had no idea at the time.
What would I do over again? As corny as it sounds, I would have tried the approach my parents wanted me to try- - -work hard, study hard, be a good person. I would have tried to be less of a "geek".
The one thing I would not have done differently was to pick the fight with Mr Spearing over the chemistry exam. It was definately worth the trip to the principal's office.

ksonville AL. I got my BS in Nursing in 1989. I didn't learn my lesson from HS, as I was placed on academic probation twice. I had too much fun.
My second college experience was through Southern Illinois University. I got a BS in Healthcare Management in 2004. I was more serious this time, as I am providing for my family.
I just completed my Masters in Sceince in Nursing with the University of Memphis. I am looking forward to branching out and using the degree I worked so hard for.
Workplace
The ecomomy is a killer. My last job as the Clinical Director of a Family Birth Unit in Memphis, TN was eliminated when the service line was removed from the hospital. I am now a staff nurse caring for pregnant women who have complications in their pregnancies. It is an interesting job, I get to be a part of 'the miracle of life' every day. Sometimes I sit back in awe at what a great job I have.
